Setting up your account is the first step to unlocking the full GolfGuiders experience. Whether you’re here to connect with other golf enthusiasts or to run your own store, account setup ensures the app is tailored to your needs. You can set your account in the following ways:
- Sign up with Google (Recommended)
- Sign up with Email
GolfGuiders supports two types of user accounts: Golfer and Coach. Each type provides a tailored experience inside the app — including features, tools, and permissions.
⚠️ Important:
Once you choose an account type, it cannot be changed later, so please select the role that best fits your purpose.
Account Type
When signing up, you must select your account type:
Golfer
For individual users, hobbyists, or players. Golfer accounts can:
- Use the Golf social platform (feed, posts, likes, follows)
- Join tournaments and view leaderboards
- Access nearby golf courses using GPS
- Record scores and playing history
- Follow other users and courses
- Comment, share updates, and view news
Coach
For professionals or trainers offering golf lessons. Coach accounts can do everything a Golfer can, plus:
- Add their coaching experience to their public profile
- Create and manage services with pricing
- Set up a booking calendar (available time slots)
- Receive lesson requests from trainees or golfers
- Manage and respond to their bookings
📌 This role defines your core experience in the app.
You cannot change your role after registration, so choose carefully based on your purpose.
Sign Up with Google
A fast and secure way to register:
- Tap “Continue with Google” on the welcome screen
- Select your Google account
- Grant the requested permissions
- the sign up form will be automatically filled without a password and you can change the account type if you like
- Verify your details and “Create Account“
- You’ll be instantly signed in and redirected to complete your profile
✅ This method skips manual entry and uses your Google credentials securely.
Sign Up with Email
If you prefer using email and password:
- Tap “Sign Up”
- Fill out the registration form with the following fields:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- Password
- Account Type (Golfer or Coach)
- Tap the “Create Account” button
