Stay connected and build relationships across the GolfGuiders community with our real-time Messaging feature. Whether you’re a Golfer, Coach, or Trainee, the messaging system ensures seamless one-on-one communication, allowing you to network, coordinate, and share insights directly from the app.
How It Works
Users can initiate or continue conversations through two main paths:
- From a User’s Profile
Tap the “Message” button on any user’s public profile to start a conversation, even if they are not yet a friend. - From the Messenger Screen
Accessible via the chat icon in the top bar, the Messenger interface displays your current conversations.
You can also search for friends by name to start a new chat.
⚠️ You can only search and message friends from within Messenger. To message non-friends, visit their profile directly.
Messaging Features
- Real-time Chat:
Conversations happen instantly, supporting fast and smooth communication. - Copy Messages:
Long-press any message to copy its text content to your clipboard. - Message Management
- Each message supports multiple actions to ensure clarity and control during conversations:
- Edit: Tap and hold on your own message to make changes. Edited messages are updated for both users.
- Copy: Tap and copy any message to your clipboard.
- Delete: Remove a message from the chat by long-pressing and selecting Delete. This action deletes the message for both sender and receiver.
🔒 All chats are private and secure. We do not support group chats or reactions at this stage.
Notes & Best Practices
- Report inappropriate behavior using the in-chat reporting feature (if available).
- Keep conversations respectful and aligned with GolfGuiders’ community guidelines.
- Avoid sharing sensitive personal information through chat.
